Privacy Policy
Yuva is a floating heads video calling app. We don't require accounts, we don't require downloads, and we don't store your personal data. Your video and audio streams are transmitted in real time and are never recorded or stored by us.
What we don't collect
- No account registration or sign-up
- No email addresses, passwords, or personal profiles
- No video or audio recordings
- No cookies or tracking pixels
- No analytics or third-party tracking services
What happens during a call
When you start or join a room, you provide a display name. This name is only used during the active session to identify you to other participants — it is not stored anywhere after the call ends.
Your camera and microphone streams are transmitted peer-to-peer through LiveKit, our WebRTC infrastructure provider. Streams are encrypted in transit using 256-bit TLS and AES-128 media encryption. LiveKit does not record or store audio, video, or data streams.
Browser storage
Yuva uses your browser's session storage to hold temporary data (like your display name and room token) during an active session. This data is automatically cleared when you close the browser tab. We do not use local storage, cookies, or any form of persistent browser storage.
macOS app
The Yuva macOS app uses the same LiveKit infrastructure for video calls. It does not collect telemetry, usage analytics, or any personal data beyond what is described above. No data is sent to us or any third party outside of the active call session.
LiveKit (third-party infrastructure)
We use LiveKit to handle real-time video and audio transmission. LiveKit is SOC2 Type II certified, GDPR compliant, and HIPAA capable. They do not record or store media streams. Temporary connection metadata (such as IP addresses) may be processed by LiveKit for the duration of a session.

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date at the bottom of this page. Since we don't collect contact information, we encourage you to review this page periodically.
